Welcome to our new School Council for this school Year! All members are keen to start gathering views and ideas; children, if you have anything to suggest, why not see your class representative on the School Council?
Good luck to all the new school councillors!
This blog is a great way to keep the rest of the school informed and to get their views on what you’re doing.
If I could offer a couple of pieces of advice:
1. Make sure one of you is responsible for updating the blog regularly and reading all the comments. You can call this person your ‘webmaster’.
2. Give someone else the title of ‘publicity officer’ – it’s this person’s job to make sure everyone around the school (pupils, parents and staff) know about the blog and the work of the school council. Use posters, assemblies, newsletters and noticeboards (and make some plaques to put up around the school highlighting each thing the school council has helped improve).
